The Mushrooms Are Coming! 📦

The light is back on, and so are we! The Finnish winter being what it is (hella cold) keeps us mostly indoors, but that's just an excuse to get some work done! (And to play Twilight Imperium.) But, we got books for you, we got games, announcements, a smattering of birds, and a whole lotta mushrooms.

Let's dive in!

Mycologist's Primer

It's here and it's shipping! We have already received some lovely messages and photos from people finding mushroom books popping up in their mailboxes, and that makes me so happy. The fulfillment of our Kickstarter campaign goes on according to the schedule. The team at Hunters Entertainment is shipping ca. 500 orders a week and we're well along the way to getting the whole thing wrapped up by early spring. Book-only orders are shipping first. You can check the status of your order on Backerkit or read more about the shipping in the Kickstarter update.

As a reminder, we aren't handling any of that from our tiny house in Finland; we cannot help you with the shipping, tracking, returns, and potential replacement of copies damaged in transit. Please contact the people who can assist you with any and all of these things: support@huntersentertainment.com. All we can do is forward your email to them, and I think we can all agree that's just a completely unnecessary step 💖

Zoologist's Primer: Birds

We've been neck-deep in bird research for a while now, and this never gets old. The book is still being written (no surprise), but we've already shared 15 first (alphabetically) birds on our Patreon.

Joining us there also grants you access to our Discord server, which is chill and relaxed, and we get to post memes, bird gifs, and talk about worldbuilding and folklore. It's fun!

Recently, we put together a sample to share with y'all and the media ahead of the upcoming Kickstarter campaign. We're thinking: spring, as it's a perfect time for baby birds to hatch. You can expect more news on that front in the coming weeks!

Other projects

In between all that, we're also working on a little sci-fi card game and a rules-light roleplaying game set in science fantasy 16th-17th-century Eastern Europe / The Great Steppe. More details coming once we have some art to sprinkle in between the words ✨
